Commuter Pass Renewal Information

　If you have a commuter pass (old pass) that has not yet expired, and are purchasing a renewal of the pass for the same zone, submit your commuter pass at the counter (or for automated commuter pass vending machines [pink ticket machines] insert your pass into the insertion slot), and a renewed commuter pass will be issued that is updated with the remainder of the valid period.

Note 1: Commuter passes can be renewed from 14 days in advance.
Note 2: A “継” character (signifying continuation) will be printed next to the valid period on the new commuter pass.
Note 3: Commuter passes with the “継” character can be used from the date of issue, regardless of the valid period printed on the commuter pass.
Note 4: At the counter, you will be required to fill out a commuter pass purchase application form.

Sample Renewed Commuter Pass
(In the case where a commuter pass valid until Apr. 30 was submitted at the counter on Apr. 26 and a renewal was purchased for the period beginning May 1.)

○ Points to Note Concerning Refunds

	Please note that if a refund is requested on a renewed pass before the date on which the new commuter pass period becomes valid, no refund will be provided for the period carried over from the old pass. (We also do not reissue the remaining period from the old pass only)
○ Points to Note Concerning Zone Changes
	If a renewed commuter pass is refunded due to a zone change, the following points apply: If a period of 10 or more days carried over from the old pass remain You will be refunded an amount equivalent to 10 times the daily cost (the cost of the commuter pass divided by the number of days in the period of use) plus the cost of the commuter pass minus a processing fee of 220 yen. If the period carried over from the old pass is less than 10 days You will be refunded the commuter pass fare less a processing fee of 220 yen. (You will not be refunded for the period carried over from the old pass.)
○ Other Points to Note
	Please be aware that commuter passes submitted for the purpose of purchasing a renewal cannot be returned.
