“Elapsed months of use” refers to the number of months from the first date of use of the commuter pass to the date of the refund request.
Any elapsed days under one month will be calculated as one month.
The day of the refund request is included in the calculation of the elapsed days.

Calculation formula
Before the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - handling fee
1 month of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - 1-month commuter fare - handling fee
2 months of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （1-month commuter pass fare × 2） - handling fee
3 months of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - 3-month commuter pass fare - handling fee
4 months of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （3-month commuter pass fare + 1-month commuter pass fare） - handling fee
5 months of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （3-month commuter pass fare + 1-month commuter pass fare × 2） - handling fee

*Only within 7 days after the start of use, the refund will be made by multiplying the round-trip regular fare for the commuter pass section by the number of days elapsed, and deducting the handling fee.
（In the case of a universal commuter pass, the round-trip fare for one day shall be 820 yen. In the case of a universal commuter pass （Yumeshima version）, the round-trip fare for one day shall be 950 yen.）
*Commuter pass for all lines purchased before Saturday, January 18, 2025 will be treated the same as universal commuter pass.
*If 8 or more days have passed since the start of use, no refund will be made unless the validity period has remained for more than 1 month.

E.g.）	If you use a 1-month commuter pass for 8 or more days
	If you use a 3-month commuter pass for 2 months and 1 day or more.
	If you use a 6-month commuter pass for 5 months and 1 day or more.

1 month or more but less than 2 months after the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （1 month commuter pass fare + B） - handling fee B：Regular fare × 2 × elapsed days of use beyond 1 month However, if it exceeds the 1-month commuter pass fare, the 1-month commuter pass fare shall be applied.
2 months or more but less than 3 months after the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （1-month commuter pass fare × 2 + C） - handling fee C：Regular fare × 2 × elapsed days of use beyond 2 months However, if the “1-month regular fare × 2 + C” exceeds the 3-month commuter pass fare, the formula is as follows: “Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - 3-month commuter pass fare - handling fee"
3 months or more but less than 4 months after the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （3-month commuter pass fare + D） - handling fee D：Regular fare × 2 × elapsed days of use beyond 3 months However, if it exceeds the 1-month commuter fare, the 1-month regular fare shall be applied.
4 months or more but less than 5 months after the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （3-month commuter pass fare + 1-month commuter pass fare + E） - handling fee Ｅ：Regular fare × 2 × elapsed days of use beyond 4 months However, if it exceeds the 1-month commuter pass fare, the 1-month commuter pass fare shall be applied.
5 months or more but less than 6 months after the start of use	Refund amount = Commuter pass fare - （3-month commuter pass fare + 1-month commuter pass fare ×2 + F） - handling fee Ｆ：Regular fare × 2 × elapsed days of use beyond 5 months However, if it exceeds the 1-month commuter pass fare, the 1-month commuter pass fare shall be applied.
